Maybe lamb was cheap when book was written but as I write this the price of lamb skyrocketed years ago and if you can even find it anymore it is certainly is not something anyone on a budget would buy| |It's super-quick to make, involves minimal shopping as most of these ingredients are likely to be found in a well-stocked pantry, and, best of all, it's inexpensive and cheerful.
